Foreign Investment Risk Forum 2018

30 October 2018 - 12:00 am UTC

As trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies continue to escalate, lawyers and investors recently gathered in Beijing at the inaugral Foreign Investment Risk Forum to discuss the rise of protectionism across the globe.

Experts from Asia, Europe and the US discussed how governments are reassessing the national security implications of foreign investment and the new risks deal makers face as a result.

Organized by Acuris Studios in partnership with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and PaRR, panelists shed light on how recent changes to the CFIUS process will affect investor strategy, and how Germany and the UK are set to impose even more stringent foreign investment review regimes than the EU in Brussels.

This report includes PaRR ’s coverage of the panels and we hope you find it informative, thoughtful and relevant to the work you do.
